slack alert

Haroon Habibi September 2, 2022

I'd like to get alerted for any time my name is @mentioned or when I am assigned a ticket. This will allow for prompt responses and reduce missed ticket alerts buried in emails.

Could you please assist in guiding me on how to set this up between slack and jira?

I know in private cloud, I would create a private slack channel, add the Jira admin to the channel to complete the setup, and then receive alerts going forward.

Not sure if that's the same case but will leave it up to the experts.

I used the this method /jira notify in slack but I got the following error, any other suggestions?

error => ( /jira is not a valid command in slack all message that starts with "/" character interpreted as commands ) if you trying to send a message and not run a command try preceding the "/" with an empty space) do you have any other suggestions/solutions since I am getting the above error?

It appears such a feature in only available in Cloud

https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/API-80

and not in Server
