restrict logging "WorkLog" for status other then "InProgress"

How do i restrict user logging efforts / work log based on the status of the issue ? we are in JIRA onDemand cloud version

You can do so using Step Properties within Workflow Properties.

Essentially, you'd like to limit permissions of "work" from all statuses except the status you'd like it to be available.
