"Update your timezone and locale" prompt always showing, even after updating timezone and locale


Since earlier this week, whenever I use Jira and Confluence, the "Update your timezone and locale" prompt shows. Each time I go to account preferences, and ensure the timezone and locale are set correctly, and often try to re-set them to get the change to be "noticed".

However, on next new tab or session, the prompt shows again. It even shows when I go to the account settings screen, as shown below.

Why is this happening and how can this be prevented?
I have changed nothing about my account and I have not needed to alter my timezone or locale at any point because I've always been in the same location.

Same here, very annoying

That's the page shown in the screenshot, mentioned in the title, and mentioned in the second sentence of the description.
