Cody Grosskopf November 4, 2013

Is it possible to add the shared text to the comments field? For example, if we have a user that's not a jira user they should be "in the loop" on the issue and anytime a Jira user uses the share button we would like to see in the history what was shared.

Hi Cody

Currently is not possible to be done by JIRA itself. However there is already an improvement request being raised in here: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRA-32125

Feel free to vote at it to increase its popularity and add yourself as watcher to receive any latest updates from the developer and also feedback from other customer as well.

Hi Cody,

Maybe this free plugin would be a nice solution for your request?

https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/aptis.plugins.shareYourJira

You will be able to grant a 1:1 view of issues to your customers (non users) and see which issues are shared and also from who and when. Additional you can delete active shares or edit the availability smile

Hi everyone,

Have you tried external share for Jira? It's useful because it offers a live view of Jira issues, but it will contain the history too, and makes it very easy to email issues to external users. It also gives lots of security features so you can password protect, or set a time limit on the share.

Let me know if this helps!
