"Create Epic" from the Planning board is not working

We have set up Epic for one Jira project. It is now possible to create an Epic from the normal issue creation process and it is possible to use Epic from the Planning board.

Though, trying to "Create Epic" from the Planning board is not working. When clicking this link nothing happens. Are we missing some configuration? We are running Jira version 6.0.8.

Hello Olle,

This is a strange issue that you get. There shouldn't be such restriction that makes JIRA users unable to create Epic from the link in the Plan board.

I would like to suggest you to reach out to the support engineers by raising a ticket inhttps://support.atlassian.com so they can help you troubleshoot the problem.
