preformulated, editable answers in Jira

Andreas Fehlmann March 21, 2017

Hi all,

we are in the process of setting up JIRA as our helpdesk.

on the one side we are setting up faq's in Confluence which works fine. Links to these entries can be sent out to customers.

At present we are working with a system that allows to select from an array of preformulated answers, which can be edited if need be an sent out to customers. This comes very handy.

How can we set up a similar system in Jira? This without having to use something additionally like "flashpaste" or such.

thx for help

One of the things the ScriptRunner add-on does is add "canned responses" for Service Desk calls.

I don't know if there are other add-ons that can add the functions, but JIRA SD does not do it natively, you need a bit of code to add it.
