possible to migrate GreenHopper from one JIRA to another?

M December 5, 2011

We are considering the GreenHopper add-on. We currently have a commercial unlimited license of JIRA. For our testing / piloting purposes, we were thinking of getting the $20 version and installing it completely separately. If, after the pilot period of a few months, this is something we want to adopt, we might want to move all of the GreenHopper stuff into the "real" JIRA we are running.

So, my question is this: Is it possible to migrate a GreenHopper that was running in one environment into another environment? Or, would we have to start over from scratch if we decide to move forward with GreenHopper?

thanks,

-markus

Hi Markus,

Yes, you can export projects from a Jira instance and import them in to another Jira but there are some significant restrictions you should be aware of. Please check out:

Have you considered just getting an evaluation version of GreenHopper for your existing system and trying it out that way? You can evaluate it for up to 90 days before deciding:

Thanks,
