paste onenote text in comment

Gwen Meriaux May 10, 2016

I think that before JIRA 7, I could copy/paste onenote text directly in JIRA comment.

Now, When I try to paste the text, JIRA propose me to attach the screenshot of my text. It's a bit oa shame.

The best solution I find for instance is to copy/paste my onenote text in word and after, copy/paste it in comment box. Have you got a better solution to avoid my text to be not consider as an image?

Thanks in advance.

This problem come from One note.

The compatibility improvement can be followed here :https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRA-60999

It's not clear to me why this is marked as "solved". JRA-60999 is still unassigned and open. I still cannot paste simple text from OneNote.

It's  because the problem is logged with Jira development, so there's no real need to discuss it more here.

(Although, to be fair, most of the problem is that when you copy from OneNote, it puts a lot of extraneous crud into the data, so it might be worth asking them to stop doing that as well)

Microsoft feels differently: "OneNote writes more than 10 different formats after a Copy to the clipboard. One of them is the Text format. It's the job of the pasting application to select the format for pasting or to present a choice to the user (something like Paste Special).

So you should complain to Jira."
