Hi there,
i would need to set up parallel sprints within an epic. i received a link to look at
https://support.atlassian.com/jira-software-cloud/docs/use-parallel-sprints/
There it says to " Log in as a user with the Administer Jira global permission." " Click Settings ()> Products, then scroll down the page to the Jira Software section."
However i am on the free Jira Software cloud version and it seems as if this is not possible to assume permissions there. Am i wrong or are there othere ways to implement parallel sprints in the free version ?
If not how else could i design parallel sprints then in Free Jira ?
Thanks
andreas
You ARE an administrator in the free version of Jira Software Cloud. Just navigate to Settings > Products > Jira Software as the documentation says. Or navigate directly to https://<your domain>.atlassian.net/jira/settings/products/jira-software-configuration (where <your domain is the name of your Jira site) and toggle the parallel sprints option to 'on'.
On a side note, parallel sprints are not created within an epic. They are created in a scrum board of a classic project, as described in the documentation you referred to.
There's also not much configuration or design involved. The feature just allows you to start multiple sprints simultaneously in the same board, which is normally not the case.
