Hi, all!

After an attempt is made to upgrade a v4.2 version of a JIRA database to v5.2.7, the following error appears in the log:

2013-10-01 21:09:39,708 main ERROR [atlassian.jira.upgrade.UpgradeManagerImpl] Errors occurred during upgrade:

2013-10-01 21:09:39,708 main ERROR [atlassian.jira.upgrade.UpgradeManagerImpl] Upgrade Error: JIRA is unable to migrate the User Directory configuration because external users exist but the osuser.xml file is not available.<br/>Please see <a href="https://docs.atlassian.com/jira/docs-052/JIRA+4.3+Upgrade+Guide#JIRA43UpgradeGuide-usermanagementinjira">JIRA 4.3 User Management Changes</a> for details.

File osuser.xml is located in atlassian-jira/WEB-INF/classes. Any ideas? Thanks

Do you mean that the osuser.xml exists under 4.2. installtion directory? It needs to be in the new instalaltion directory created for 5.2.7. If you are using the "in-place" upgrade method, the old installation directory will be removed during the upgrade.

Can you add a copy of the osuser.xml file to the new installation directory created for 5.2.7 and restart?

It is in new installation directory (5.2.7). We are migrating Jira to another server
