ondemand sysadmin counts as user against license

DavidT September 21, 2012

I just purchased first month of ondemand Jira/Greenhopper. I wanted to start creating users, but dialogue box says, "There are currently 2 total user(s) set up in JIRA, of which 2 are active and count towards your license limit."

I look at Users, there is sysAdmin and me. Why is sysadmin counting against my license total? I removed it from Users group, still get the Notification above when I try to create users.

Turns out sysadmin doesn't count against your license. Atlassian support answered my ticket

There isa new disable user facility.

OnDemand probably has this facility located someplace else since users are shared across applications.

sysadmin is not counted once I started adding other users. For some reason when you are only user, it counts sysadmin. But after adding 3 other users, the total count was show as 4 which is correct. File a bug jira...
