Are you not interested developing your own plugin also?

If interested, you can write workflow postfunction as a workflow module in your existing self-developed workflow plugin.

see https://developer.atlassian.com/display/JIRADEV/Workflow+Plugin+Modules#WorkflowPluginModules-Functions

if you have any doubts, you can revert back.

Hi Ganga,

It is possible to sync issues. You can look at Exocet lite plugin which is free and will allow you to sync issues. i.e change the status of sub-task if parent task is moved.

There's now a very easy to configure way to transition parents and sub-tasks in sync using Automation for JIRA!

You can easily modify related issues (such as parents, stories, sub-tasks, epics, linked issues and even JQL) using our related issues action and condition:

(this example transitions sub-tasks, but you could just as easily change this to transition the parent as a result of a sub-task being transitioned)

You could configure a rule that simply checks if all sub-tasks are closed and then transition the parent to a given step using the related issues action.

Thanks Anand,

It is promising, but we're not in position to add new plugins. In particularly for workflow usage.
