migrate from OnDemand to Hosted

Deleted user May 29, 2013

Hi, we're planning the adoption of JIRA and Conflunece in our organization, we would evaluate them for our all employees for a couple of months, so we're heading for the on demand version.

After evaluation, we sould probably move to a Downloaded version of both products. Could we then have our fee discounted of the OnDemand amount payed during this months?

Luca,

We offer evaluation licenses for free from our website. This license entitles you to unlimited use of Confluence and JIRA for a month. If you need to extend that trial to two or even three months just drop one of our Customer Advocates a line sales@atlassian.com. This way you can try our products with no cost to you. When you are ready, get back in touch with us and we can direct you how to export your data from installed version of JIRA and Confluence to our OnDemand platform.

So could we have all our 30 company users on Jira for a 90-days evaluation in a production environment?

Hi Luca - we have helped a number of companies in this situation, including the migration to a full-serve 24x7 hosting solution, also with Atlassian-skilled support. Can also quote that (migration is included).

In my experience, especially if you are migrating to a download version, you can get credit back for unused time on OnDemand if you have purchased an annual plan.

But extending OnDemand eval is not common. I think the reason is that often customers might think 60 days, that goes to 90, then 120.. etc.. and so it just gets complicated, because schedules get delayed. But if you do change your mind and you have prepaid an annual plan, adjustments can be made.

Hope this helps -

Best,

Ellen
