Will JIRA on Linux be impacted by leap second in 2015 ? What do we need to determine (beside the OS build) whether the instance will encounter small/large issue crossing into July 1 ?

Dear Atlassian Support

Could you please advise how the JIRA will be impacted (major or minor) due to the leap second on coming 30 Jun if our JIRA server Linux version is OL-6.3.1.64 kernel-2.6.32.279.11.1.el6.x86_64 which is safe from the leap second?

Best regards,

Jarinee

Could anyone from Atlassian confirm whether the answer above is correct? I would like to reduce risk of the event.

The only thing that you would need to make sure is that your OS is following the guides to resolve this issue. On application side, there should be no issues other than objects being created on the same second which I don't think will cause an issue.
