[jira.web.action.XsrfErrorAction] The security token is missing for 'anonymous'

jira 5.2.3 ; attempting to send a bulk email; fails.

i am thrown out of jira with a message stating that i have not been logged into jira for the last 5 hours (we're on gmt-5 new york time). it requests a relogin and retrying the procedure fails.

this is from the log...

the date time appears correct.

I am also getting the same error in log.

Can anyone please tell the root cause of this error. which action in jira will through such type of error on jira logs
