Hi Rick!

In order to disable users on a cloud instance of JIRA, you'll have to revoke application access from them. For instructions on how to do that, take a look at this document.

information For additional information on managing application access, take a look here.

information To learn more about how to manage users on JIRA Cloud, read this document

Remember that the instructions presented on the documents above apply to each and every Atlassian Cloud application. wink

Hi Rick,

You can deactivate, or disable, a user, including one who has contributed content.

  • Deactivated users can no longer log in to the application.
  • Deactivating a user will not remove the content created by them.
  • Deactivated users do not count towards your license count.

To deactivate a user:

  1. Remove the user's application access.
  2. From the user's details page, remove the user from all groups.

Please refer to Deleting or Deactivating Users for further information.

Thanks and regards,
Paula Silveira
