issue creation from project page UI behavior change v4->v5

Hi there,

previously (v4), creating a new issue from the project page redirected to the new issue.

Now (v5), only a message in a green popup is displayed and one has to click to go to the project.

Additionally, the project page (on which you remain) does not update the activity stream with the newly created issue. This could lead to confusion.

Is there any way to get either

  • the redirect back, or
  • have the activity stream at least refresh?

Hi Jeronimo,

I don't think there is a way to redirect back to issue screen after created the issue. Perhaps, you can configure some script on it.

However, for activity stream refresh you can try to reindex the data after created the issue. To configure this you need to do it in your workflow by adding the re-index post function in created issue transition.

Re-index an issue to keep indexes in sync with the database.

For more information, about applying post function to transitions.

Test on it and hope it helps.

Reindexing is enabled. It does appear in the activity stream if I *manually* refresh the activity stream. The problem is the stream should be automatically refreshed otherwise it looks like as nothing happened. (the green popup says it's done but the activity stream shows nothing, that's confusing)
