how to prevent images in html mails to be added as attachment to an issue ?

unfortunately we have a lot of clients that insist on using Outlook with pretty html mails including company logos etc. in their mail signature.

These images get added to the Jira issue as attachments, is there a way to configure the mail handler to not add these images to the issue ?

Hi Andre,

Unfortunately this is not possible OOTB in JIRA.. There is a JIRA issue created but it seems like it do not have much progress on it. Feel free to vote on it.

If you want to use external plugins try out JEMH. You need to paid for that plugin, but as I know it is having that kind of functionality to block some filenames. If you have more questions about this software please contact @Andy Brook

thanks, I voted for the issue, since it's an issue from 2007 I doubt it is on Atlassians radar though.
