how to open a jira ticket from a hyperlink without needing to login

Patrick Pope February 27, 2017

Hi, I am dragging JIRA tickets across onto a spreadsheet to build up a structured list of tickets that need validation. Excel then adds them as a hyperlink - great. But when I click the hyperlink I want to see the ticket immeadiately. Instead Jira is always asking me to login.

Hi Patrick!

I work for Kantega Single Sign-on. We offer Kerberos and SAML in our SSO add-on. You may use Keberos or SAML, or in combination.

With Kerberos, devices such as PCs and MACs get password-less SSO, while you can offer SAML to your mobile devices, customers etc.

The nice thing is that there is no modification of any configuration files, even for service desk.

If you need any assistance, you can reach out to us at SSO@kantega.no

Hello Patrick,

You will need a Kerberos plugin, such as IWAAC Kerberos SSO.

(Disclaimer: I work for the vendor of this very plugin. But you can actually get what you want with any Kerberos plugin available on Atlassian Marketplace: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/search?query=kerberos)
