how to let external customer have access to internal Jira instance.

Hi, We have perhaps a need to have an external customer have access to a project in our internal Jira instance. Has anybody done this before? I would rather not externalize our Jira instance.

Is the best way to handle this is with Reverse Proxy?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
