how to create a QA Issue Sub-Task for issues discovered by QA?

nadavw March 12, 2015

Hi,

there is a type of sub-task in JIRA called: "QA Issue Sub-Task for issues discovered by QA" (https://jirap.corp.ebay.com/secure/ShowConstantsHelp.jspa?decorator=popup#IssueTypes)

in the drop-down of new task creation - I can't find it any idea why?

thanks,

You do not create sub-tasks via "create issue".  They must have a parent issue, so you have to go to the issue you want to create them under and look in the "other actions" drop-down.  Once a parent has one or more subtasks, you can also use the + button on the subtask section to create more.

Hi,

thanks for reply - I'm not create via 'create issue' but with create sub task. the only type of sub-task that appears is 'technical task' and there is no drop-down to select from.

Ok, that means your "issue type scheme" for the project ARSSLR only contains "technical task". You can either add new subtask types into the scheme (which could affect other projects) or create a new scheme that includes other subtask types
