how to add users from another jira instance

Hello,

We have partner companies that use Jira already since a long time and have recommended to us to get also started with Jira.

Now we have created a new Jira OnDemand instance.
I have set up our company internal users and developers.

-> But how can I assign an issue to an existing Jira user of our partner companies?

You can only assign issues to users that Jira knows are users.

You'll need to set them up as users, or possibly import them all from a list.
