how do you show dependency between 2 issues in 2 different JIRA projects

I need to find out how I can indicate that an Issue in one JIRA project show dependency on another Issue on another JIRA project

Hi Neepa,

 

The way that we can tell if issues rely on one another in Jira is via Issue Links. Depending on how you have your environment is setup, these issue links would be placed inside of the Issue View where you can see what issues relate back to one another, whether they duplicate, block one another, etc. To quote the documentation specifically:

Issue linking allows you to create an association between two existing issues on either the same or different JIRA servers. For example:

  • An issue may relate to another.
  • An issue may duplicate another.
  • An issue may block another.
