how can I lock down only a certain group to see issues?

john.pfotzer@verizonwireless.com July 30, 2015

In a project, I have a drop down choice when a issue is created. If choice A is picked then only members of Group A  should be able to see the issue.

If choice B is picked then only members of group B should be able to see the issue.

How can I make this happen?

They are called 'security levels' and you can read about them here:

https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA/Configuring+Issue-level+Security

Here's the main point:

Issue security levels allow you to control who can see individual issues within a project (subject to the project's permissions).

An issue security level is a named collection of users. Issue security levels are created within issue security schemes, which are then associated with projects.

there....that's the main point...
