We tested JIRA Service Desk, and it's not doing what we were hoping for. Now we need to export our on-demand JIRA Service Desk tasks over to our on-demand JIRA. Of if that can't happen, can we move them over to our installed JIRA once that's up & running?

You Service Desk issues should be already available in your JIRA, as both tools are related and JIRA Service Desk issues are, in fact, just slightly different from normal JIRA issues.
If you were to delete Service Desk, you shouldn't lose any of your created Service Desk requests, they will still be attached to the project that was created when you set your first Service Desk.
