Hi,

I would like to know if it is possible to approve a change request in the follow manner:

  1. Change request raised
  2. email sent to approver group
  3. approver simply replies "Approved" via email
  4. email  triggers change request to transition to approved status.

For steps 1 and 2. You can fire a custom event from the workflow post-function of the transition. ANd in the notification scheme make sure that for that custom event the mail is sent to the desired receipt (correct username - email mapping)

If you have script runner plugin installed, you can use the post-function "send custom email" to send email to desired recipient. 

This link is not helping me with my issue so can someone suggest any other solution to this?
