Hi Philippe,

You can blank the maximum allowed authentication attempts to disable captcha and allow unlimited authentication attempts - https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver071/configuring-jira-application-options-802593101.html

Be careful about doing that if your JIRA instance is accessible on the Internet though as it opens you up to brute force attacks.
