custom field error

Hi experts,

I have created custom field and i added to field configuration lets say "date1" field.

i have added it to resolve screen only

when i try to create the issue it is asking me for the date1 field which was not under the screen itself. how do we overcome this.

You need to put the field on the "create issue" screen, OR make it optional in the field configuration.
