changing swimlanes for non-admin users

* I'm a non-admin JIRA user and have my swimlanes organized by Epics.

* I can't change the swimlane option to assignee in board settings.

* I asked the board admin for help, but he is already set to assignee.

How can we change it so the swimlanes are set to assignee for all users?

If you are seeing swimlanes based on anything else than other user settings, then you are in fact looking to two different boards.

You may display a different board clicking in the following dropdown arrow:

If you cannot see more boards on clicking there, then you need to be given access to the board you would like to be able to see. In your browser address bar, you may also want to enter the URL of the board which swimlanes are based on Assignee, just to be sure you are able to access it.

Note that you may also create your own board and configure it as per your needs.

Hi Matthew,

the board settings are the same for all users. There are no individual settings.

So, if your admin set the swimlanes to assignee, this is the setting for all users.
