can jira service desk ignore the email format

We are trying trying to build a service desk ticket from an email. The from address is 6767@s2k8ch1app. Can this email format be ignored and a ticket created?

Hi Thomas,

The email address is malformed, it does not have the '.xxx' suffix. We think this is the reason service desk fails to make the ticket. Hence, the question.

When an email is sent to 6767@s2k8ch1app the issuetpye that is linked with that email will be opened. What do you mean can the format be ignored?
