Based on one entry thru service desk, we would like to create several sub-tasks in our team automatically.
Is that possible?
Example:
Create on Transition for JIRA provides post functions for doing this. In your case review the following specific pages:
Just to add a little more to this plugin is ingrained in our workflow (hi, Bob!) - you'd want to add the "Create Subtask" post-function in the Create transition of the Service Desk issue's workflow. Be sure to move the "Create Subtask" post-function so that it fires after the "Creates Issue Initially" post-function!

Hi Bob, If I understand correctly, the post-function "Create Subtask" is created and provided by your add-on to Jira?

Found it Bob, thanks! And just successfully used it in creation of a sub-task based on variables, very nice.

@Joshwa Marcalle, please see our guidelines for vendors. Specifically, you need to identify that you are a vendor and also avoid spamming threads (particularly outdated threads) with links to your plugin.

Hi Alexej, The trigger would be a field with multiple selections possible (multi-select). To be more specific: the entry is a "new user form" entered by a manager i.e. and linked to an issue type. Custom field "Systems" with a multi-select option, so at the request of a new user multiple systems can be defined. As a result multiple sub-tasks are created to define the new user for several systems, each with it's own owner.

its definitely possible. We have written a plugin that is doing similar tasks. i didn't quite understand what would be your trigger to create those subtasks? When issue of certain issue type is created?
