can I change the date format that is shown on jira service desk date from '2 days ago' to 'dd/mm/yy HH:MM'

Robin Bremers March 4, 2015

Dates are displayed in JIRA Service Desk in format like: '1 week ago', '2 days ago'

To see the date and time we can hover over the item (but some users do not realise you can do this), but we would prefer to see the full date and time instead.

Is it possible to change the format to dd/mm/yy hh:mi:ss ?

Hello community!

Due to restricted functions on our Cloud environment, this type of customization on OnDemand versions of our products is not available anymore.

As a workaround, hovering the mouse over the relative dates displayed will show them in the real date format dd/mm/yy hh:mi

Hopefully this clarifies any miscommunication here!

Hi Robin,

It would be necessary to apply the resolution described in: Disable Relative Dates in JIRA

If you have a Cloud instance, please raise an issue with us at https://support.atlassian.com and we can apply that for you. As for the date format, it can also be changed. Please see Customizing the Look and Feel - Date/TimeFormats for more details about this.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,

Clarissa.
