backup cloud jira

Do we need to back up our system even though it is on the cloud? What does the contract say about back up? How often is the system backed up or is it always secured for errors?

Thank you.

"Use of backup data to roll back changes to application data is not supported" what does this mean? If I for example import data from external system and errors are given can I not use the back up created? Or is the purpose of recovery only from application failure?

The text refers to small data changes. The purpose of recovery is mainly for when the data gets corrupted or if an large change makes the data unworkable. With an erroneous data imports, the roll back could be used, it depends on the scale of the error. Since a rollback can take 24-48 hours, the backup is not intended for small changes, for example accidental deletion of an issue
