Hi.
I had try 2 JIRA sever with application link.
But not work...
JIRA 1 is work 80 port(confluence is 8000)
JIRA 2 is work 8080.
Other port is blocked using firewall.
JIRA 1 server access JIRA 2 server, but JIRA 2 server don't access JIRA 1 server. However users both access JIRA 1/2. (JIRA 1 server is internal server, JIRA 2 is out-side server).
In this situation, I try create application links between 2 JIRA sever, but not work.
So, I search document, find some page.
https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/APPLINKS/Application+Links+User+Guide
In this page, Application link is only work 80 or 443. It is true?
Or 80/443 not blocked firewall??
Thank you!.
You do not need to use ports 80 or 443, that is just the most common approach and the easiest to document. My current setup on the test server at home is https on ports 12020 and 12030 for JIRA and Confluence and it is working fine.
But you are right about the firewalls - you must have all the ports open to TCP traffic in both directions between the two servers.
This documentation suggests that JIRA can only use Stash over ports 80 and 443, but perhaps I am misinterpreting it.
