alphanumerics for sub list numbering

Hello guys, we would like to use alphanumeric for sub list numbering.
Currently doing JIRA markup

    1. shows as
      1
      1
      rather than
      1
      a
      b
      2
      a
      b
      .
      .
      .

as shown in
Can the style sheet be changed to show alphanumerics for sub list numbering - see Working with Lists. Can you help us to change it for our users? Thanks. Best regards, Michal

Regarding the issue at hand, as far as I know, this is currently not possible in JIRA. It could be possible with some customisations, but I'm not really sure whether or not it would be possible, and, customisations are actually not supported by Atlassian, as mentioned in our Support offering.

Instead, I would recommend that you try asking over at our Atlassian Answers Community. It's a place for everyone in the Atlassian community - customers, evaluators, partners, the developer network, Atlassian user group leaders, staff - to connect and discuss what they're working on or need help with (though Support issues, bugs and feature requests, all remain in JIRA).
