Workflow with each user as a status

Eamonn McEvoy April 2, 2014

I want to use a board to track equipment in our team, so we need a kanban style board with each team member as a column on the board.

I want to create a workflow with each user as a status on the board, is this something I need to do manually?

Yes, you will need a workflow with each user as a status. Which means editing your workflow every time a user arrives/leaves.

However, you say "boards", so I assume you've got the Agile addon? If that's the case, then you can cheat a bit - convert the project to "simplified workflow" - when a new person arrives, add a column. When someone leaves, delete a column. Nice and easy :-)

(I know there could be a bit of a discussion about why on earth you'd want to do this when status should be "where the issue is in the process" and you should be using "assignee", but heck, it was an interesting question!)
