Workflow step property

Hi,

We have a board with a workflow mapped to it, when an issue is moved into our UAT column there is a Workflow Step property "jira.issue.editable" set as "false". This is because we do not want any modifications made to the issue at this point.

The problem we face however, is that we still want the ablity to assign the issue to other users that are responsible for verifying and signing off on the issue.
We are unable to assign this issue because of the editable workflow property that is set to false (I suspect???).

Any suggestions on how we can dissallow the editing of the issue but still allow the abilty to assign to another user.

Use a transition from this step to this step and add a screen with the assignee field to that transition.
