Hi,
I'm trying to figured out how I force comments during transition. I already enabled the "JIRA Misc Workflow Extensions" add on. Then I set a new validator (Comment Required Validator ), but now I can't change state, every time I try change state give me this popup error:
Workflow error
You must provide a Comment
It seems that you have tried to perform an illegal workflow operation.
If you think this message is wrong, please contact your JIRA administrators.
Any thoughts?
Thanks!
It sounds like you have not put a screen on the transition - you need a screen there to show to the user for the comment. (The validator in the JMWE only checks the input, it doesn't add the screen for you)

That is not related to this question. For better visibility, try asking it as a new question.
(However, this usually means a badly configured workflow function, probably a validator)
