We're a SaaS company that allows customers to integrate our software with their Jira Server instances.
Will we have to update our integration to support Jira Data Center or will the integration we have built for Jira Server work for Jira Data Center?
Mostly. Depends on how you have "integrated".
If you are talking to Jira from the outside, then the REST APIs you've used to talk to Server are the same for Cloud, so there's no changes there.
If you have does stuff inside Jira using off-the-shelf functions, then yes, you'll be fine.
If you have written apps to install in Jira to provide your "integration", then the answer becomes "maybe".
Apps for Jira Server will appear to work fine on DC, but unless they've been written to cope with the more complex things DC does differently, they will fail. This is why you find some apps on the marketplace are available for server but not DC - they have not been recoded, recompiled and tested against DC, so although they may technically load, they may not work and may even damage your data.
