Will removing a disabled user directory also remove the users defined in that directory from JIRA?

I am using JIRA 4.4.4.  Within User Directories under Administration, I have a disabled user directory to an previously used Crowd server.  I would like to remove that user directory.  Will the users defined in that directory also be removed from JIRA (i.e. from cwd_user and other cwd_* tables)?

So the only way to remove them from the cwd tables it to remove them from the directory in crowd, sync the directory in JIRA and then remove the directory in JIRA?

Yes Paul. Or you can upgrade your JIRA to the latest version, which does remove the users when removing the directory.

The users will not be removed from the cwd tables in JIRA 4.4.4.
