Hi 

how do I search for issues in JQL where EPIC Name like “%blah blah%

the ~ operator does not work for epic link.

What are my options?

Maybe try to use Script runner and execute a scripted JQL function. At least I made it work for a version field:

This does not seem to work on the Epic Link field, even when it works on other text fields.
