Why would one user not be able to attach files?

Deleted user August 7, 2014

For some reason one of our users can't add attachments to any issues. He has been able to previously and nothing has changed with his membership. I have checked and he still has the create attachments permission.

Where could I look to solve this?

Hi Hannah,

Have you tried a content indexing? If he still has the appropriate permission, this should solve the problem. :)

Cheers!

How do you do a content index? I have tried just a normal background index which hasn't worked.

Thanks

Hi Hannah,
If it is a Server/Standalone instance, you can:
  1. Choose the cog icon, then choose General Configurationunder Confluence Administration.
  2. Choose 'Content Indexing' under the heading 'Administration' in the left-hand panel.

More info: https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/DOC/Content+Index+Administration

But, if it's a OnDemand/Cloud instance, you will have to open a ticket on Atlassian SAC (https://support.atlassian.com) asking them to perform this for you.

Hope this helps!

Cheers!
