Why might Personal Subscription to a filter not work?

I've created a Filter and added a Personal Subscription and chosen send-even-if-empty.

Viewing the subscription it says it is being run daily, as requested. If I choose Run Now, it updates to say it has been run.

But I never get the mail.

If I subscribe for a group I'm in, I do get the mails.

Is there some setting I'm missing, or is this a bug?

It was a known issue in JIRA: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRA-27918

Should be fixed in onDemand now. In downloaded, it should be fixed in 5.0.5.

I am having this same issue; the problem I am encountering is that Jira tells me the "Personal Subscription" group has been deleted. Is there a way to restore the group?

Does the log files have any errors in it? Just out of curiosity, what if you turn on the "email my own changes" on your personal profile? I don't think that it would make a difference but it may be worth trying.
