Our JIRA instance uses MS Active Directory server for user directories.
But many users have an empty email field when viewing them in JIRA User Management.
Because of this these users are not receiving notification emails.
We cannot figure out what differentiates the users which get their email field properly populated from active-directory from those who do not.
We are using JIRA v6.3.4#6332-sha1:51bc225
Any help is appreciated.

Issue was resolved.
It was found that our IT department "forgot" to populate the mail attribute of new users in active directory.
Once populated it reached JIRA just fine.
Thanks!
