Why don't our versions/epics show any progress?

I've modified our workflow to better suit our deployment routine, but in the process I think a few things were left behind.  Right now the only Version or Epic that is showing it's progress on the backlog view is our first Version ("MVP").  You can see that it considers several stories complete:

I'm not sure what the difference is - the story status' all look correct to me.  And if I click through to the Version details page, it seems to recognize completed stories as such:

What is it that JIRA uses to signal progress for Versions & Epics on the backlog page?

What I can see that the "Estimate" field is empty. Do you have your estimation statistic set to story points for example and haven't actually added story points? In that case you won't see the completion bar...

Maybe turn your estimation statistic to issue count and see if that works?!
