Why don't I receive email notifications?

When someone tags me in an Issue, I don't receive an email notification, so often miss it.

I've checked my email in Jira is correct, and the emails aren't in a Junk folder.

 

I can't find any settings when logged in to Jira to set my email notification settings.


Any ideas?

Notifications are managed by Jira administrators. You can not influence it. 

All you can set for notifications is to get email or not from actions made by you. For example, suppose a Jira Administrator set notifications that a reporter get a email, after an issue changed. You can choose, where you want to receive notifications, when an issue was changed by you or not. But you can add a notification to get email, if an issue was created. Only a Jira administrator can set such a notification.
