Why does custom event notification add an extra column choice?

Jade Melcher December 20, 2017

Added the custom event, added the transition and edited the post-function all according to the documentation.

The transitions between status have been defined that way by you or your admins.

To answer "Why does it make you drag it into the transition name QA Notification 2 when the Status name is QA?" we need a few points:

A workflow is a collection of status, with transitions that allow you to move an issue from one status to another

A board is a set of columns representing your workflow.  A column contains one or more status in that workflow (a status can only be in one column, but a column can contain many status)

So, it makes you drag it to QA notification because that's the column containing the QA status and your "drag" is representing a transition in to that status.

The events fired by a transition have nothing to do with the behaviour of the boards.
