Why does Chrome prompt to save an HTML attachment instead of opening the file?

Firefox can open a JIRA HTML attachment into a new tab, why does Chrome always have to save the file first? Is there a setting on Chrome to solve this?

Hi Ray,

Chrome doesn't allow this at all. I have been following this feature request for years: https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=333
