When we create a subtask it automattically gets the components from the parent which we do not want to happen. Can this be disabled or changed some where?

Seems to be a default behaviour and quite correct.

If your parent has Component A, B, C, the sub-task will have the same components, because in this context it is not useful to leave that field empty.

While creating a sub-task you should select which Component will be handled by the sub-task. If you select A only, you will only have A.

The clear field is still not affecting the create transition for components.

If your subtask has an own workflow, you can try to add postfunction "clear field value" for field component/s to transition "create". You can see that transition in workflow-browser after opening the details of status "open".

Hope that helps.
