Why do JIRA dashboard gadgets use each up to 200 external resources?

Hi,

my JIRA dashboard requires over 400 external resources, loading 7 MB in 20s. WTF.

• the "projects" gadget with around 23 projects requires 180 external resources.
• the "activity stream" gadget with 10 activities shown requires 200 external resources.

Most of them are javascript resources < 3 KB. I have a question ... Why?

Hi Christian,

Those javascript would be stored in cache either memory cache or disk cache. 

Since your problem is with slow loading dashboard, can I know if you have reached to Atlassian Support regarding this matter? There are few possible factors that can cause this slowness; network, performance issue on the server, and etc.
